About The Artist
I was born in 1946 and raised in Southern California. As an art major, I
am a self-taught cartoonist. My wife Marie
and I were married in 1977. From the very beginning we worked together
from my studio in our home to present my artwork
through exhibits, festivals, and private showings. We have two sons, and
after graduating from college they are now
pursuing their own careers. We have lived in Newport Beach, California
since 1980.
I always dreamed of becoming an artist and striking out on my own. Back
in 1974, I was full of energy and restless
while working as an illustrator and Art Director. I decided to leave my
job to pursue what I love doing best, making
people laugh at themselves. Over the years I found that by drawing and
painting everyday situations with a humorous
slant, I learned about the funnier side of life in this high-tech, fast
paced world of ours. At the same time I was
reassured by the people I met that good, clean, old-fashioned humor
never goes out of style.
I continue to express my humorous philosophy through painting and
experimenting with various shapes, colors and
techniques. My latest works define the human condition by depicting
wildlife with titles that speaks to our positive
side. With the help of our customer’s wonderful suggestions, I am
constantly creating new work, always looking for
original ideas. My acrylic paintings, limited edition lithographs and
giclee’s are displayed in private and corporate
collections throughout the United States and abroad. So as you look
through our website we hope you will enjoy the humor
and maybe, just maybe you will see somebody you know…
All of the characters seen on this website are my own creation. A little
redbird appears in each painting as my
trademark. The giclee’s sold through this website are printed by me to
ensure that all reproductions are of superior
quality.
